Privacy Policy

This policy covers bocaautocare.com. It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go through our contact page.

What we collect

Page views. When you load a page we record the page address, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string, to understand which guides are useful. We do not store your IP address with this record and we do not set a cookie for it.
Quote requests. If you use a "Get quotes" form we store what you enter (name, phone or email, vehicle, ZIP code, description of the problem) and the page you sent it from, and we share it with local repair shops that can quote the work. That is the purpose of the form.
Contact messages. What you send through the contact form, used only to answer you.
Chat assistant. Messages you type into the chat assistant are processed to generate replies and may be kept to improve the service. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the chat.
Accounts. If you create an account we store your email, a hashed password and anything you add to your profile, and set a login cookie that keeps you signed in.
Shop listings. Business details submitted for the directory are published as business listings.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Ads may then be less relevant, and logging in will not work.

Who we share with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as described above (quote requests with shops that can quote them), with service providers that host and run the site, with Google for advertising as described, and when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and contact messages are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete the account. Page-view records are kept in aggregate form.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete personal information we hold about you through the contact page. This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
