FAQ
What Boca Auto Care is, how the shop directory works, and how the guides are written.
Boca Auto Care is an independent website for Boca Raton drivers. It explains common car problems in plain English, gives typical South Florida cost ranges for repairs, and lists local shops so you can compare and contact them yourself. It covers every make, from Toyota and Ford to BMW and Tesla.
About Boca Auto Care →No. Boca Auto Care does not repair cars, does not employ mechanics, and does not offer appointments, warranties, or a service bay. The shops in the directory are separate businesses, and any work, pricing, or warranty is between you and the shop you choose.
The directory aims to list every auto repair business in and around Boca Raton, built from public business information and from shops that add themselves. New submissions are checked before they appear. A listing is not an endorsement or a ranking of quality. Check reviews, ask for a written estimate, and confirm licensing before you commit to a repair.
Browse the shop directory →Yes. A basic listing with the shop's name, services, website, and phone number is free, and there is no charge to stay listed.
List your shop free →Some pages have a form to request quotes from Boca shops. You describe the problem and your vehicle. Boca Auto Care reads the request and passes it to local shops that do that kind of work, who may then contact you with a price. Requesting a quote is free and does not commit you to anything.
Guides are written and reviewed by the Boca Auto Care Editorial Team using owner manuals, manufacturer service information, NHTSA data, and other published sources, which are listed at the bottom of each guide. They are general information, not a diagnosis of your specific car.
Read the editorial policy →No. Cost figures are typical ranges for the Boca Raton area, based on published parts prices, common labor times, and local labor rates. Your actual price depends on your vehicle, the parts used, and the shop. Always get a written estimate before work starts.
Shop owners can add a new listing through the List your shop page. To fix wrong details on an existing listing, such as a phone number, address, or services, or to have a listing removed, send a message through the contact page with the shop name and what needs to change.
Contact Boca Auto Care →Boca Auto Care earns money in two ways: ads shown on the site, and, optionally, referral fees when a shop receives a quote request through the site. Shops cannot pay to change what a guide says or how a cost range is described. Basic directory listings are free.
Recall listings come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Safety recalls are repaired free of charge at a franchised dealer for your brand. To check your own car, enter your VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup.
