Toyota Reduces RAV4 Production Due to Suppressed Demand

Toyota has announced a reduction in overseas production of the RAV4 SUV by 100,000 units through February 2027. The decrease is attributed to high gas prices and suppressed demand in certain regions, including the Middle East and North Africa. The standard combustion-engine RAV4 will be most affected, while hybrid models will continue to be produced at Toyota's Kentucky plant.
As a result, some dealerships are experiencing difficulties in meeting the demand for the RAV4, leading to waitlists and limited inventory. The production cut is expected to impact the availability of the vehicle in the market.
