Toyota and Lexus Recall 5,400+ SUVs Over Dangerous Suspension Issue

Toyota has issued a recall affecting more than 5,400 of its popular Grand Highlander and Lexus TX SUVs, citing a suspension defect that could lead to a serious loss of control. According to the automaker, the problem involves a rear suspension component that may fracture unexpectedly, potentially causing the vehicle to become unstable while driving.
The recall covers certain 2024 model year Grand Highlanders and Lexus TX 350, TX 500h, and TX 550h+ vehicles built between November 2023 and early 2024. Toyota says the issue stems from a manufacturing error that left the rear suspension lower arm vulnerable to cracking under normal loads.
If the part fails, drivers could experience a sudden shift in handling, increasing the risk of a crash.
Owners will be notified starting next month, and dealers will inspect and replace the affected suspension arms at no cost. In the meantime. Toyota advises anyone with questions to check their vehicle’s VIN on the company’s recall website. For Boca Auto Care customers, we recommend staying ahead of any safety notices, bring your SUV in for a free inspection if you’re concerned, and we’ll help coordinate repairs with your dealer.
