Three Major SUV Recalls: Nissan Qashqai. Toyota Land Cruiser 300, and Lexus LX600

A fresh round of safety recalls has hit the SUV market, affecting three popular models: the Nissan Qashqai. Toyota Land Cruiser 300, and Lexus LX600. The announcements, first reported by Business Day, cover issues ranging from braking system faults to potential steering defects.
Owners are urged to check their vehicle identification numbers (VINs) to see if their car is included.
According to the report, the Nissan Qashqai recall involves a possible failure in the electronic brake booster, which could increase stopping distances and raise crash risk, affecting roughly 12,000 units in certain model years. Toyota’s Land Cruiser 300 and its luxury sibling, the Lexus LX600, share a separate recall tied to a steering intermediate shaft that may loosen over time, potentially causing a loss of steering control.
Toyota has not yet released exact figures for the number of vehicles impacted in this campaign.
Nissan is contacting owners directly and will replace the brake booster free of charge at authorized dealerships. Toyota and Lexus dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering shaft assembly at no cost. Owners can also look up their specific recall notices using the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) campaign numbers once posted.
