This Plum Crazy Dodge Charger Puts 1,100 Horsepower to the Rear Wheels

Some builds start with a simple question: what if we took it too far? That's exactly what happened with 'Sinister,' a three-year custom project that turns a Dodge Charger into a Daytona-inspired monster. Under the hood sits a supercharged 572 cubic inch Hemi built by Indy Cylinder Heads, fed by a ProCharger F-3 blower pushing 7 PSI on E85 fuel.
The result is 1,100 horsepower at the rear wheels, not crank, but what actually hits the pavement. That's enough to make the tires scream louder than the exhaust.
The powertrain is backed by a Rossler Turbo 400 automatic transmission with an air shifter and transbrake, plus a Dana 60 rear axle with Strange axles to handle the abuse. A 10-inch torque converter with a 2,200 RPM stall speed helps the car launch hard, while a Moroso vacuum pump and E85 fuel system keep everything running.
The dyno sheet from DynoWerks comes with the car, so there's no question about the numbers. Wolfpack Rides handled the bodywork, grafting on a full 1969 Daytona-style nose cone and towering rear wing. Finished in Plum Crazy Purple with a black vinyl top, the car sits on a drag-style big-and-little wheel setup that gives it that classic Pro Street stance.
Even the undercarriage is detailed to show quality.
Inside, the Charger doesn't skimp on comfort. Black leather bucket seats from a 2000 Dodge Viper anchor the cabin, joined by air conditioning, power windows, ceramic-coated tinted glass, and electric power steering. Reverse and forward-facing cameras help with visibility, which is handy given the massive rear wing.
AutoMeter Sport Comp Monster gauges monitor vitals, and four-wheel power disc brakes provide stopping power. This custom build heads to Mecum Harrisburg as Lot S167 on Saturday, July 25, and it's poised to be one of the auction's most talked-about lots.
