The Super Duty Raptor That Never Was: AEV's $20,000 FX370 Kit

Ford builds a mean off-road pickup in the F-150 Raptor. But what if you need something bigger? The automaker doesn’t offer a factory Raptor version of the F-250 Super Duty, leaving a gap for buyers who want heavy-duty capability with serious trail chops. That’s where American Expedition Vehicles, better known as AEV, steps in.
Their new FX370 package transforms a standard F-250 into something Ford won't build, for about twenty grand.
The heart of the kit is a set of 18-inch black wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires. To make those fit and perform off-road, AEV includes a 4-inch DualSport suspension system with Bilstein shocks tuned specifically for this setup. Unlike AEV’s own FXL package, which requires aftermarket fender flares to clear 40-inch rubber, the FX370 keeps a clean, OEM-like appearance.
No cutting or custom bodywork required.
Up front, you get a rugged steel bumper ready for a heavy-duty winch and extra lighting. Out back, a high-clearance bumper improves departure angles. AEV also throws in exterior graphics and embroidered headrests to tie the look together. All of this comes at $19,999, not counting the base F-250, which starts around $46,000.
For anyone who finds an F-150 Raptor too small but still needs to conquer rough terrain, this package fills the void nicely.
