The $235,000 Dodge Charger That’s Too Fast for the Street

The $235,000 Dodge Charger That’s Too Fast for the Street

Dodge shocked the muscle car world when it killed off the V8-powered Charger R/T and SRT models in 2024, replacing them with the electric Charger Daytona and the twin-turbo inline-six Charger Sixpack. Fans weren’t happy, even though both new models hit 60 mph as fast as the old Hemis and used less fuel.

The fake “Fratzonic” exhaust on the EV and the Euro-style snarl of the Sixpack just don’t deliver the raw American rumble that enthusiasts crave.

Enter the 2026 Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pak, a track-only monster that brings back the V8 in a big way. 0-liter supercharger, good for an estimated 1,700 horsepower on race fuel. That’s nearly 700 hp more than the old Hellcat-powered Demon 170. But this isn’t a car for the road, it has no VIN, no street legality, and a price tag of $234,995.

5-second range.

If that sounds extreme, consider the alternatives. The Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC delivers 790 hp, handles like a dream, and starts at $108,085, but it’s road-legal. 1 seconds trails the Charger. For most buyers, the Charger Sixpack models make more sense. 9 seconds. Both come with all-wheel drive and a price far south of a quarter-million dollars.

The inline-six may not roar like a Hemi, but it’s faster, more efficient, and you can actually drive it to work.
