Supercharged 1995 BMW M3 Listed at $33,500: Worth the Price?

A 1995 BMW M3 coupe is up for sale in Denver, Colorado, with a $33,500 asking price. 0-liter S50B30US straight-six engine, which is claimed to boost output to around 340 horsepower at the crank. The supercharger kit alone typically costs about $8,000, and the seller notes it is California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliant.

This early-production example features a rare Mugello Rot single-stage paint, a color that was reportedly replaced by Hellrot (Bright Red) midway through the 1995 model year. The seller describes the car as originally from the West Coast, so rust has not been an issue. The exterior shows some minor flaws, including paint chips on the nose, a small chip in the windscreen, and clear coat delamination on the aftermarket SSR SSF alloy wheels.

Underbody shots reveal clean condition and new power steering lines. The interior is described as fully intact, with leather Vader front seats, a five-speed manual transmission showing some wear on the wheel and shift knob, and 83,051 miles on the odometer. The seller also mentions recent maintenance, including a new radiator, water pump, belts, and hoses.

The car comes with a full tool kit and a clean title.

The American-spec engine was factory-rated at 240 horsepower, notably less than the standard S50's 282 horsepower, but the supercharger is meant to close that gap significantly. The seller calls the car a prime example of a classic model with the added benefit of forced induction, but the price remains a point of debate among enthusiasts.
