Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II: More Range, More Power, and a Clock That Steals the Show

Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II: More Range, More Power, and a Clock That Steals the Show

When Rolls-Royce launched the Spectre in 2023, it wasn’t just testing the electric waters—it dove in. And while other luxury automakers hit pause on their EV plans, the Spectre became one of Rolls’ fastest-selling models. By 2025, it was the brand’s second most popular car, trailing only the Cullinan, and it racked up more bespoke commissions than almost anything else in the lineup.

Now comes the Spectre Series II. Don’t expect a radical redesign—the exterior is virtually unchanged, and rightly so. The Spectre is already one of Rolls’ best-looking modern cars. Instead, the updates are beneath the bodywork: more power, longer range, faster charging, and a dizzying array of new customization options.

The standard Spectre now makes 593 horsepower and 749 lb-ft of torque, gains of 16 hp and 85 lb-ft. The Black Badge version jumps to 671 hp and 811 lb-ft. Range improves by up to 18 percent, putting the EPA estimate around 320 miles. S. models get a NACS port. Rolls says the average owner drives just 4,000 miles a year and has six other cars, so the upgrade wasn’t strictly necessary.

But the company notes that more owners are using the Spectre as a daily driver, and for pure driving pleasure.

What really grabs attention is the interior. A new textile upholstery called Duality Twill is made from bamboo-based rayon, inspired by a grove near Sir Henry Royce’s winter home. 6 million stitches. Then there’s the perforated leather, with 78,138 holes in three different sizes, designed to mimic moonlight filtering through clouds.

It’s subtle, dramatic, and unmistakably Rolls-Royce.

The dashboard gets 8,108 illuminated points, and the clock—housed in what Rolls calls an “inset vitrine”—has been redesigned with aviation-inspired cast metal hands for maximum readability. A miniature Spirit of Ecstasy in stainless steel sits nearby, lit from below.

New wheel designs require six hours of hand-finishing per wheel. A gradient two-tone paint option debuts. And for the first time, you can order an Iced Black exterior finish with a glossy grille. The list goes on, but the message is clear: Rolls-Royce listened to its customers, and the Spectre Series II is the result.
