Ram Truck Recall: Over 12,000 Vehicles Affected, Check Your Model Here

FCA US has issued a recall for more than 12,000 Ram trucks and vans due to a potential safety issue. The recall covers certain Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 models from the 2024 and 2025 model years, as well as a few 2023 Ram ProMaster vans. The problem involves a faulty brake system component that could increase the risk of a crash.
According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue stems from a possible loss of brake fluid pressure. If the problem occurs, drivers may experience a longer stopping distance or a spongy brake pedal. FCA says it has not received any reports of accidents or injuries related to this defect, but owners are urged to take the recall seriously.
Affected owners can expect to receive notification letters starting in late April. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake master cylinder at no cost. To see if your vehicle is included, visit the NHTSA website or call FCA’s customer service line. For local drivers, Boca Auto Care recommends checking your VIN and bringing your Ram in for a free brake inspection to ensure everything is safe before the official recall repair becomes available.
