Pilot’s EV Network Reaches 300 Fast-Charging Stations Across the U.S.

Pilot’s EV Network Reaches 300 Fast-Charging Stations Across the U.S.

Pilot Travel Centers just crossed a major milestone in its electric vehicle charging rollout. The company now operates 300 high-speed charging stalls at travel centers nationwide, with each unit capable of delivering up to 350 kilowatts. That means EV drivers can add roughly 200 miles of range in about 15 minutes at these locations, making long road trips more practical for electric car owners.

The expansion comes as part of a joint venture between Pilot Company, General Motors, and EVgo. The partnership aims to build a network of 2,000 fast-charging stalls at Pilot and Flying J travel centers by 2026. So far, the stations are concentrated along major interstate corridors in states like Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Georgia, with new sites opening in the Midwest and West Coast this quarter.

For independent auto repair shops, this growth signals a shift in how drivers maintain their vehicles. As more EVs hit the road, shops like Boca Auto Care are seeing increased demand for electric vehicle diagnostics, battery health checks, and software updates. While the charging infrastructure expands, local mechanics are adapting to service the growing number of plug-in cars in their communities.
