Mercedes News Roundup: New Models, a Final Sendoff, and a Confirmed Record Sale

Mercedes News Roundup: New Models, a Final Sendoff, and a Confirmed Record Sale

After widespread skepticism, a record-breaking sale has been confirmed as legitimate by Bring a Trailer, the selling dealer, and Hagerty.

Mercedes-AMG's new GT 53 4-Door Coupe gives buyers a less extreme, longer-range alternative to the brand's 800-plus-hp electric sedans. Mercedes-Benz also unveiled an all-new GLA that is larger, more refined, and available with both hybrid and fully electric powertrains.

AMG is giving its high-performance A 45 S hatchback a final sendoff before the model disappears later this year. Meanwhile, teaser images of the upcoming G-Class Cabrio offer the clearest look yet at its unusual convertible design.

The 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 goes far beyond leather seats and wood trim with features designed to pamper every passenger. Mercedes continues to build some of the world's most desirable luxury cars, though not every recent trend has been a hit with enthusiasts.

On the performance side, the 2027 AMG CLA 45 EV pairs 671 horsepower with more than 400 miles of claimed range, but U.S. buyers won't get the chance to own one.
