Maserati Slashes Grecale Folgore Price by $22K, and That’s Not Even the Biggest Cut

Maserati Slashes Grecale Folgore Price by $22K, and That’s Not Even the Biggest Cut

Maserati’s electric Grecale Folgore wasn’t moving off dealer lots, so the Italian brand is trying a time-tested strategy: a massive price cut. For 2027, the SUV’s starting price drops from $121,290 to $98,995, including destination, a savings of $22,295. That’s enough to buy the cheapest new car in America.

The electric Granturismo Folgore got an even deeper chop last month, falling by more than $57,000 to $142,495.

The Grecale Folgore gains 33 miles of range for 2027 thanks to new aero shutters and updated motor calibration, especially on models with 21-inch wheels. It packs 542 horsepower from twin electric motors, making it the most powerful Grecale, beating the V6 and Trofeo variants. The Granturismo and Grancabrio Folgore models boast 751 hp from tri-motor setups.

But even with these cuts, the Granturismo still costs more than a well-equipped Mercedes S-Class.

These official price drops actually trail what dealers were already offering. Earlier this year, some Maserati showrooms were knocking $85,000 off the Granturismo and $40,000 off the Grecale Folgore. The reason? S. last year, its worst performance in nearly 15 years. Still, the brand remains safe under Stellantis and plans to unveil a new concept later this year.

Whether 20 percent discounts are enough to revive sales is the real question, but for buyers seeking Italian flair and deep customization, the price is finally getting serious.
