Lucid Unveils 1,070-HP Gravity GT-S, Its Most Powerful Three-Row SUV Yet

Lucid has introduced the 2027 Gravity GT-S, a new performance-focused version of its three-row electric SUV. The company says the GT-S produces 1,070 horsepower, calling it America's most powerful three-row SUV. That's roughly 50% more than the Gravity Touring's 560 hp and a 20% jump over the Grand Touring's 828 hp.
The GT-S hits 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, but Lucid didn't quote a top speed. That leaves room for comparison with the Tesla Model X Plaid, which claims a 2.5-second 0-60 time and a 163-mph top speed. However, the Model X is no longer in production.
The GT-S comes standard with the Dynamic Handling Package, including a three-chamber air suspension that lowers the vehicle at high speeds and rear-axle steering. Lucid's chief creative officer, Derek Jenkins, said the model offers a more expressive and exhilarating take on the Gravity, combining performance with the comfort and versatility the SUV is known for.
Pricing starts at $127,750, and for now the GT-S will only be sold in the U.S. For context, that's roughly the cost of a Dodge Durango Hellcat and a half. The Gravity GT-S avoids gas stations entirely, which may justify the premium for some buyers.
