Low-Mileage Nissan 240SX Survives Decades Without Being Drifted Into Oblivion

Low-Mileage Nissan 240SX Survives Decades Without Being Drifted Into Oblivion

If you’ve ever looked for an S-chassis Nissan from the 1990s, you know the drill: most have been thrashed, drifted, and patched back together more times than anyone can count. Finding one that hasn’t is like spotting a unicorn in a parking lot. But here’s a 1996 240SX SE that somehow avoided all that—and it’s showing just 9,500 miles on the odometer.

This S14-generation coupe is mostly stock, which is remarkable. 4-liter four-cylinder engine making 155 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. No turbo swap, no wild modifications—just a clean, honest car that’s been preserved rather than abused.

The owner did add a few tasteful upgrades: Koni shocks, Eibach lowering springs, a Stillen strut tower brace, a new muffler, rear sway bar, and an aftermarket intake. Outside, there’s a front lip, side skirts, rear spats, and spoiler. The cabin is pristine—original except for a double-din head unit with Apple CarPlay.

A recent ceramic coating should keep the red paint shining.

One small detail: the side skirts and rear spats are attached with exposed screws into the bodywork. If you ever wanted to return the car to factory condition, those holes would need filling and painting. Otherwise, this is about as clean an S14 as you’ll find anywhere in the country.

For owners of European and Japanese cars—whether it’s a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, VW, Volvo, Jaguar, Lexus, Toyota, or Honda—this story is a reminder that low-mileage survivors exist, but they’re rare. If you’ve got a car that’s been sitting or showing its age, it’s worth having a trusted mechanic give it a once-over.

At Boca Auto Care, we’ve been keeping these cars on the road since 1989. Bring yours in for a checkup—we’ll treat it like the survivor it is.
