Lamborghini Issues Recall for Over 2,000 Urus SUVs Over Fire Risk

Lamborghini has announced a recall affecting 2,133 examples of its Urus Super SUV, citing a potential fire hazard under the hood. The campaign, listed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as recall number 24V-580, covers model years 2023 and 2024. The issue stems from a possible fuel leak near the engine compartment, which could ignite if it comes into contact with hot surfaces.
Owners are advised to park outdoors and away from structures until repairs are completed.
According to Lamborghini’s official statement, the problem lies with a component in the fuel delivery system that may have been improperly torqued during assembly. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the affected part free of charge. Notifications to owners are expected to begin in late March 2025.
The recall was initiated after Lamborghini received reports of several engine bay fires, though no injuries have been linked to the defect.
For Urus owners in South Florida, local service centers are already coordinating with Lamborghini to handle the recall work. If you own a 2023 or 2024 Lamborghini Urus and haven’t yet received a notice, it’s a good idea to check your VIN on the NHTSA website or contact your nearest authorized dealer.
The repair takes roughly two to three hours, and there is no cost to the owner. Keep an eye on your mailbox, or better yet, call ahead to schedule an inspection.
