Kia Tasman Exterior Design Sparks Discussion

The Kia Tasman midsize pickup has received mixed reactions since its debut, with some critics focusing on its exterior design. In Australia, where sales have been slower than expected, Kia has reduced prices. Executives have acknowledged the need for a reevaluation of the truck's design.

Roland Rivero, General Manager for Product Planning and Training at Kia Australia, stated that the company is exploring solutions, but a facelift is not imminent. Rivero emphasized that facelifts are scheduled according to the product life cycle. Instead, Kia may offer a broader range of exterior accessories.

The Kia Tasman Weekender concept, unveiled at the 2025 Seoul Motor Show, featured a redesigned body kit, slimmer grille, and other design changes. Spence Cho, Kia's Head of Global Sales, mentioned that the company will provide countermeasures and consider additional powertrain choices and design improvements in the coming years.
