Kia Carnival Trims for 2027: Affordable Options Don't Require Top Spend

The Kia Carnival remains one of the few minivans on the market, and Kia has refreshed it for the 2027 model year. With several trims available in both hybrid and non-hybrid versions, buyers might find the lineup confusing. Prices listed here come directly from the manufacturer and exclude destination fees and taxes.
The entry-level Carnival LX starts around $37,490 and comes with power sliding doors, three-row seating, cloth seats, alloy wheels, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It seats seven and is also aimed at fleet buyers. The LXS, available as a hybrid for the first time, adds heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and synthetic leather upholstery.
It seats eight and costs $39,490 for the gas version and $41,490 for the hybrid.
The mid-range EX trims, priced from $41,690 (gas) and $43,690 (hybrid), include power front seats with memory, a power tailgate, power folding mirrors, 19-inch wheels, and a rear-seat camera and intercom. An optional package swaps the middle-row bench for captain's chairs, dropping capacity to seven.
The SX trims, starting at $46,590 (gas) and $48,590 (hybrid), add dual sunroofs, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring in the gauge cluster, Highway Driving Assist 2, a 12.3-inch dual display, ventilated front seats, and a digital key. CarBuzz notes these models appear to hold their value well on the used market.
The top SX Prestige trims, from $51,590 (gas) and $53,590 (hybrid), include a head-up display, digital rearview mirror, leather seats, heated steering wheel, Bose sound system, and Kia's Dark Edition styling. An optional VIP Lounge Seat package adds heated and ventilated second-row chairs with power recline, plus ambient lighting and soundproofing.
Hybrid Prestige models can also get rear-seat entertainment.
CarBuzz recommends the Carnival SX as the best value, noting it offers more space and driver-assist tech than the similarly priced Kia Telluride crossover. For families on a budget, the LX or hybrid LXS provide strong standard features, while higher trims suit VIP transport needs without the cost of luxury SUVs.
