Justice Catches Up: Fraudster’s $1 Billion Crime Spree Ends in 30-Year Sentence, Luxury Fleet Seized

A Chinese businessman who bilked investors out of more than $1 billion is now trading his Bugatti Chiron and New Jersey mansion for a prison cell. Miles Guo was sentenced last week to 30 years behind bars after a jury convicted him of running an elaborate fraud scheme that prosecutors say funded a lifestyle most people only dream about.

5 million estate, a $2 million yacht, a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, a Bugatti Chiron, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan, Guo’s troubles began in 2018 when he launched the so-called Rule of Law Foundation, claiming he’d personally donate $100 million. Instead, he used the charity as cover to push unregistered stock in his media company, GTV. When the SEC came knocking, Guo pivoted to new schemes—peddling fake investment programs, pricey G|CLUBS memberships, and a cryptocurrency built around something called H Coin and H Dollar.

Over years, he raked in hundreds of millions by promising returns he never delivered.

S. Attorney Sean S. Buckley in a statement. “He exploited the trust thousands placed in him for his own greed. ” The government posted photos of the seized red Aventador and dark gray Chiron on social media, a stark reminder that even the flashiest toys can’t outrun federal prosecutors.

S. District Judge Analisa Torres on charges including racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud, and money laundering.
