Jeep Revives the Wrangler Laredo with a Rugged Southwest Makeover

Jeep is bringing back a classic nameplate for 2027, unveiling the Wrangler Laredo as the latest entry in its Twelve 4 Twelve campaign. Inspired by the American Southwest and a Texas border town, the new Laredo revives a trim that first hit the scene in the 1980s. It’s built on the Wrangler Willys platform with the Xtreme 35 Package, meaning it’s ready for serious off-road action right off the lot.
The production model comes with a 1-inch suspension lift and 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires wrapped around bronze, beadlock-capable 17-inch wheels. Exterior details include a Gobi grille, Laredo hood decals, brown bodyside graphics, bronze tow hooks, and a lasso-style “4WD” logo on the rear.
Jeep also brought back the classic tan soft top as a nod to the original, though buyers can opt for a black hardtop or the Sky One-touch power roof instead.
Inside, the Laredo gets Bison Brown Nappa leather front seats with heating and power adjustment, accented by Mayan Gold contrast stitching and Global Black trim. A custom center console badge and a subtle cowboy hat motif in the HVAC vent prints add character. Orders open later this month, and the Laredo carries a $1,995 premium over a Wrangler Willys with the Xtreme 35 Package.
That package starts at $49,250 plus a $1,995 destination fee, putting the two-door special edition around $53,240 and the four-door at $55,620. Note: The Xtreme 35 Package only comes with an eight-speed automatic, manual transmission fans are out of luck.
