Jeep Recalls More Than 11,000 Grand Wagoneer SUVs - Here’s What Owners Need to Know

Jeep has issued a recall affecting over 11,000 Grand Wagoneer SUVs due to a safety issue that could increase the risk of a crash. The recall covers certain model year vehicles, and owners are being urged to check if their SUV is included. The problem centers on a component that may fail unexpectedly, potentially causing a loss of control while driving.

According to documents filed with federal safety regulators, the affected vehicles may have a defect in the steering system. Specifically, a part could loosen over time, making it harder for the driver to steer properly. Jeep says it will notify owners and dealers will inspect and repair the issue at no cost.

The company is also working on a fix and will send out letters to impacted customers starting next month.

Owners of the Grand Wagoneer can check if their vehicle is part of the recall by visiting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website and entering their VIN. Jeep recommends that anyone with questions contact their local dealer directly. As of now, no injuries or crashes have been reported related to this defect, but drivers are advised to schedule service as soon as they receive the recall notice.
