Jeep Brings Back Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Overland for 2027

Jeep has revived two popular Grand Cherokee trims for the 2027 model year: the off-road-focused Trailhawk and the luxury-oriented Overland. Both were absent from the 2026 lineup after Stellantis discontinued all plug-in hybrid models in January, including the 4xe powertrain that had been exclusive to the Trailhawk.
0-liter four-cylinder producing 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard with the Quadra-Trac II four-wheel-drive system, a two-speed transfer case, Quadra-Lift air suspension with semi-active damping, and 31-inch Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires.
4 inches, with approach and departure angles of 36 and 30 degrees, respectively. The front bumper features red tow hooks, and six steel skid plates protect the engine, transmission, transfer case, fuel tank, and suspension. Inside, black Nappa leather with red stitching sets the tone.
The Overland trim returns as the refined trail-capable option. It shares the same powertrain and Quadra-Trac II system but adds chrome tow hooks, 21-inch wheels, heated and ventilated seats, and Nappa leather with embossed seatbacks. Both trims include hill-descent control and a trailer tow package, with the Trailhawk rated to tow 6,200 pounds.
Jeep expects both models to arrive at dealerships later this year. Pricing has not been announced, but analysts predict the Overland will start just above $60,000, while the Trailhawk—now without the costly plug-in hybrid system—could land around $50,000.
