Honda Recalls Select Odyssey Minivans Over Rearview Camera Glitch

Honda is issuing a recall for certain Odyssey models after discovering a problem with the rearview camera display. Affected vehicles may show a blank or distorted image when the driver shifts into reverse, creating a potential safety hazard. The issue stems from a software glitch in the infotainment system, and Honda has traced it to a specific production window.

The recall covers roughly 12,000 minivans from the 2023 and 2024 model years. Honda says it will notify owners by mail starting next month, instructing them to bring their vehicles to an authorized dealer. The fix involves a free software update that should take less than an hour to complete.

No crashes or injuries have been reported in connection with this problem.
