Honda is ending sales of its only electric vehicle in the United States, the Prologue SUV, after just two years on the market. The company confirmed to CarBuzz that production will wrap up at the close of the 2026 model year, marking a quiet exit from the American EV segment. S. zero-emission vehicles. While the Prologue was the sixth-best-selling EV in America in its first full year, lagging behind Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3, it still represented Honda’s only real electric offering. The company has shown off next-generation EV prototypes overseas but remains noncommittal about bringing them stateside. There is some good news for EV shoppers, though: rising gas prices have helped stabilize electric car sales, and California recently introduced instant rebates on new and used EVs, offering a slight discount for buyers willing to go electric elsewhere.
