New-Vehicle Quality Shows Significant Improvement

A recent study by JD Power found that overall quality of new vehicles has improved sharply, with fewer problems cited across nine of 10 categories evaluated. The study reported that Porsche had the fewest problems, with 138 issues per 100 vehicles, and ranked as the top brand overall.
Ford, previously known for a high number of recalls, made a significant turnaround and is now ranked as the highest mainstream brand in initial quality. The study also found that infotainment systems were a major contributor to reported problems, with connectivity issues being a significant issue.
According to the study, several brands, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, VW, Volvo, Jaguar, Lexus, Toyota, and Honda, showed improvement in quality. The results are based on data from the study, which evaluated various aspects of new-vehicle quality.
