GMC Dresses Up the 2027 Hummer EV in a Bold Throwback to the H2 Era

GMC Dresses Up the 2027 Hummer EV in a Bold Throwback to the H2 Era

General Motors is taking a trip down memory lane with the 2027 Hummer EV Icon | 25 Edition, a special release that marks the 25th anniversary of the gas-guzzling H2. The limited-run model, limited to just 250 units, swaps the usual muted tones for a screaming yellow paint job inspired by the original H2’s signature hue.

Black accents on the wheels, cladding, mirrors, roof, and skid plates give it a two-tone look that’s hard to miss on the road.

Inside, the cabin stays mostly familiar but gets a Jet Black treatment with unique infotainment graphics and a serialized badge on the dashboard to confirm its rarity. GMC is also throwing in an “exclusive keepsake” for buyers, though they’re keeping the details under wraps for now.

The Icon | 25 package will be available on both the 2X and 3X versions of the truck and SUV, with pricing still unannounced, though the 2026 models start at $97,825 plus a $2,695 destination fee.

Beyond the anniversary edition, the 2027 Hummer EV lineup picks up a native NACS charging port, making it easier to plug into Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. The company says this upgrade won’t affect the vehicle’s bidirectional charging capability. Other changes are subtle: four new exterior colors, Azurite Blue, Dark Ember, Dark Ridge, and Deep Void Matte, join the palette, along with two fresh 22-inch wheel designs.
