Genesis GV90 Specs Surface: Bigger Battery, More Power Than Kia or Hyundai EVs

Ahead of its official launch, technical details for the all-electric Genesis GV90 have leaked online via South Korea’s Ministry of Environment filings. The documents reveal a larger battery pack and more power than the related Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9.
The GV90 carries a 123.52 kWh gross battery (115 kWh usable), compared to the EV9’s largest 99.8 kWh gross pack and the Ioniq 9’s 110.3 kWh gross option. Power comes from a 322 hp front motor and a 335 hp rear motor, combining for 657 hp. That’s needed, as the SUV weighs in at 6,680 lbs.
The certification paperwork lists a combined driving range of 481 km (299 miles), with a city range of 503 km and highway range of 453 km. While that might seem modest for the battery size, Korea’s stricter testing means the European range is expected to hit around 580 km (360 miles), and the US range will likely land near 300 miles.
It’s not yet known if other battery or motor options will be offered, but both six- and seven-seat versions are mentioned. Design-wise, the GV90 follows the 2024 Neolun Concept, featuring rear-facing suicide doors and black B-pillars, a rarity in this price bracket.
