Ford Recalls Over 565,000 Broncos and Bronco Raptors Over Engine Fire Hazard

Ford Recalls Over 565,000 Broncos and Bronco Raptors Over Engine Fire Hazard

Ford has issued a recall for 565,691 Bronco and Bronco Raptor SUVs after discovering a wiring defect that could lead to an engine compartment fire. The affected vehicles span the 2021 to 2023 model years, and the automaker warns that a loose or damaged engine harness connector can cause a short circuit, potentially igniting nearby materials.

Owners should expect official notification starting next month, with dealers inspecting and repairing the harness free of charge.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has posted the recall notice, urging owners to park their vehicles away from structures and other cars until the fix is applied. Ford says it has received reports of fires but no injuries or crashes linked to the issue. Drivers can check their vehicle’s recall status using the NHTSA website or by contacting a Ford dealership directly.
