Ford Recalls More Than 500,000 Vehicles Over Safety Concerns

Ford Recalls More Than 500,000 Vehicles Over Safety Concerns

Ford Motor Company has announced a recall affecting over half a million vehicles due to potential safety issues. The recall, which covers multiple models including popular SUVs and trucks, stems from problems that could increase the risk of accidents. This is one of the larger recalls the automaker has faced this year.

According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall involves certain Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, and Ford F-150 models from recent production years. The issue relates to a possible malfunction in the vehicles' braking and electronic stability control systems.

In some cases, drivers may experience a loss of power steering assistance, making the vehicle harder to control at low speeds.

Ford says it is not aware of any crashes or injuries linked to the defect so far. But the company is urging owners to bring their vehicles to dealerships for a free repair. Dealers will update the software in the affected vehicles at no cost to customers. Owners can expect to receive notification letters starting in late April.

For more information, they can visit Ford’s recall website or contact their local dealer.
