Ford Issues Massive Recall for Broncos and Raptors Over Engine Fire Hazard

Ford Issues Massive Recall for Broncos and Raptors Over Engine Fire Hazard

Ford has announced a recall affecting over 565,000 Broncos and F-150 Raptors due to a potential fire risk under the hood. The issue stems from a faulty fuel injector that can crack and leak gasoline onto hot engine surfaces, creating a serious fire hazard. 5-liter EcoBoost engines.

The automaker says a defective fuel injector may develop a crack over time, allowing fuel to escape. If the leak reaches a hot exhaust component, it can ignite. Ford has received at least 20 reports of fires linked to the problem, though no injuries or crashes have been confirmed.

Owners will receive notifications starting February 3, and dealers will inspect and replace the fuel injectors free of charge.

For Boca Auto Care customers, this recall serves as a reminder to stay current with manufacturer notices. If you own one of these models, check your vehicle identification number (VIN) on Ford’s recall website or give us a call. We can help you schedule the repair and ensure your vehicle is safe.

In the meantime, avoid parking your Bronco or Raptor inside a garage or near flammable materials until the fix is applied. Stay safe out there.
