Ford Issues Massive Recall Affecting Nearly 400,000 Vehicles

Ford Motor Company has announced a recall covering approximately 387,000 vehicles due to a safety issue that could increase the risk of a crash. The recall affects certain models from the 2021 through 2023 model years, including popular SUVs and sedans. The problem stems from a faulty rear suspension component that may break or separate while driving, potentially causing a loss of control.
According to documents filed with federal safety regulators, the defect involves a rear toe link, a critical part that helps keep the rear wheels aligned. Over time, these links can crack and eventually fracture, especially in vehicles that have been driven on rough roads or exposed to road salt.
Ford says it has received reports of at least one accident and several injuries related to the issue. Owners can expect to receive notification letters starting next month.
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the affected rear suspension links at no charge. Ford is also offering reimbursement for any repairs already performed. If you own a potentially affected vehicle, you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website or contact your local Ford dealer.
For drivers in the South Florida area, Boca Auto Care recommends scheduling an inspection promptly to ensure your safety on the road.
