Ford Issues Major Recall Affecting Nearly 400,000 Vehicles - Check If Yours Is on the List

Ford Motor Company has announced a sweeping recall affecting more than 387,000 vehicles across several popular models. The automaker says the issue involves a potential safety defect that could increase the risk of a crash, though no injuries have been reported so far. The recall covers certain 2021 through 2023 model year vehicles, including the Ford Bronco.
Ford Edge, and Lincoln Aviator, among others.
According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the problem stems from a rear suspension component that may crack or break over time. If that happens, drivers could lose control of the vehicle, particularly at higher speeds. Ford says it has received a small number of warranty claims related to the defect, but no accidents or injuries have been linked to it yet.
Owners of affected models will be notified by mail starting next month. The fix involves a dealer inspection and, if necessary, a free replacement of the faulty part. In the meantime. Ford urges anyone with concerns to contact their local dealership or check their vehicle identification number on the NHTSA website.
