Fire Erupts at Auto Repair Shop in Leningrad Region, No Injuries Reported

A two-story auto service building went up in flames Saturday in the Leningrad region, with firefighters quickly containing the blaze before it could spread further. The fire, which broke out in the structure, covered an area of about 120 square meters, according to the regional branch of Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry.
Three fire crews, units 101, 154, and 150 from the Lenoblpozhspas agency, responded to the scene and worked to bring the flames under control. Officials confirmed that no deaths or injuries occurred. The cause of the fire is under investigation, though early reports did not specify what sparked the incident.
The building, used for vehicle repair services, sustained damage primarily on the first and second floors where the fire was most intense. By the time crews arrived, smoke was already billowing from the structure. Emergency responders managed to localize the fire, preventing it from jumping to nearby buildings.
The ministry added that the situation is now stable, and cleanup efforts are underway. Local authorities have not yet released an estimate of the property damage.
