Dodge Hornet’s Run Ends: Under 90 Left on Dealer Lots Nationwide

Dodge Hornet’s Run Ends: Under 90 Left on Dealer Lots Nationwide

The Dodge Hornet, a compact crossover that barely had time to make a name for itself, is down to its final few units. Inventory data pulled straight from Dodge’s website shows fewer than 90 of the Italian-built SUVs still sitting on dealer lots across the country. Once those are gone, there won’t be any more coming.

S. market. Production stopped in January 2026, with Dodge citing “shifts in the policy environment” as the reason for pulling the plug. That leaves the Hornet as the second-newest model in Dodge’s lineup after the Charger, but with a lifespan of barely three years.

Dealers have been slapping heavy discounts on remaining Hornets to move them off the lot. Prices on Dodge’s official list range from $31,590 to $50,775, and that’s before you negotiate the markdown you’re almost guaranteed to get. com shows 129 listings, but many of those are likely stale, with the cheapest being a 2024 Hornet GT dropped to $23,990 from $34,990.

Nearly 40 of those fall under $30,000.

The Hornet’s demise comes down to two things: tariffs and an aging platform. Built at the Pomigliano d’Arco plant in Italy, every car faced import duties. Underneath, it rode on the FCA Small Wide architecture from 2005, shared with the Tonale and the last Jeep Compass. That foundation has since been replaced by newer platforms.

With the Hornet gone, the only SUV left in Dodge’s stable is the Durango, a model that’s barely changed since 2011.
