Dodge Hands Charger Buyers Cash Back Per Horsepower - Up to $5,500 Off

Dodge Hands Charger Buyers Cash Back Per Horsepower - Up to $5,500 Off

Dodge is bringing back its popular Power Dollars promotion just as the first wave of gasoline-powered 2026 Chargers hits dealerships. The deal is simple: the automaker gives retail buyers $10 for every horsepower under the hood. On the 550-horsepower Scat Pack, that adds up to a $5,500 discount, dropping the price below $49,500 before destination fees, taxes, and tags.

The offer runs from July 9 through August 3, 2026, and applies only to retail purchases of the gas-powered Charger R/T, R/T Plus, Scat Pack, and Scat Pack Plus models equipped with the twin-turbocharged Hurricane Sixpack engine. Lease customers are out of luck. Buyers of the R/T and R/T Plus, which make 420 horsepower, get $4,200 off.

The Scat Pack and Scat Pack Plus, both rated at 550 horsepower, qualify for the full $5,500.

Dodge CEO Matt McAlear said the incentive is meant to make the brand’s performance models more accessible, noting that the Charger Scat Pack is already the most powerful car you can buy for under $55,000. With Power Dollars, it slips under $49,500. The promotion also underscores Dodge’s renewed focus on its Hurricane six-cylinder engine lineup, which now powers both the two-door coupe and four-door sedan versions of the 2026 Charger.

Both come standard with all-wheel drive and a driver-selectable rear-wheel-drive mode.

Here’s a surprise: the two-door and four-door share the same roof and interior space, so full-sized adults fit comfortably in the back seat of the coupe. The front seats fold forward easily for entry and exit. Both body styles also have a hatchback rear end, one reviewer recently stuffed an XXL mountain bike into the back of a two-door model.

This muscle car is sneaky practical, and now it’s a lot more affordable.
