Dodge Expands Custom Paint Options With New 'Color Jailbreak' Program

Dodge is broadening its customization offerings for 2027, giving Charger buyers access to a much wider range of paint colors than before. The new initiative, called "Color Jailbreak," extends a custom color program previously reserved for halo models like the Challenger SRT Demon 170 and Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak to a larger audience.
S. MSRP aimed at the masses rather than a select few. The exact price has not been revealed yet, Dodge says formal pricing and other details will come later this year.
The brand previewed several cars at Roadkill Nights to showcase the options. Dodge CEO Matt McAlear said the program is about making special paint more affordable, noting that nothing cements a car's authenticity like a unique finish. He mentioned options like favorite body colors, unique calipers, stripes, spoiler colors, and even two-tone setups.
Alongside the paint program, Dodge announced a new tinted stripe package for 2027 Charger and Durango models. The company also displayed a Durango "Smokescreen" concept, named for its base paint finish, which features "Cryo Blue" graphics, 20-inch forged wheels in the same color, and "Petrol Blue" Laguna leather seats.
More details are expected as the 2027 model year approaches.
