A 32-year-old man was sentenced to over 11 years in prison after he caused a fatal crash while watching TikTok videos behind the wheel. The collision killed a 20-month-old toddler and seriously injured the child’s mother.

Investigators found the driver was uploading and watching videos on his phone and Apple TV in the moments before the three-car pileup. He rear-ended a family’s car as it approached a roundabout in slow traffic. The young boy was properly restrained in the back seat but died from his injuries two days later.

The mother required major reconstructive surgery.
