Danish Hypercar Maker Zenvo Unleashes the Most Powerful V12 Ever in a Road Car

Zenvo Automotive is rolling into this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with two production-ready Aurora Tur prototypes, and the specs are jaw-dropping. 3 seconds — all from a car that tips the scales at only 1,548 kilograms dry. 6-liter quad-turbocharged V12, co-developed with MAHLE Powertrain, that screams to a 9,800 rpm redline.

Zenvo says the engine alone pumps out 1,250 hp and 1,200 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful V12 ever fitted to a production road car. The Goodwood appearance, running July 9-12, marks the Aurora’s biggest public milestone yet as the program gears up for first customer deliveries in summer 2027.

The powertrain is as layered as the numbers suggest. That hot-V V12 uses four variable-geometry turbochargers and pre-heated catalytic converters, feeding into a hybridized eight-speed paddle-shift gearbox. A P2 electric motor at the transmission adds 200 hp, while two more motors up front contribute another 400 hp and handle torque vectoring across the front axle.

Total system output lands at 1,850 hp and 1,700 Nm. 19 hp per kilogram. The carbon composite monocoque, carbon body panels, and double-wishbone pushrod suspension were all purpose-built for this platform — nothing carries over from Zenvo’s earlier cars.

The Aurora comes in two flavors sharing the same architecture. The Agil is the lightweight, track-focused but road-legal variant — stripped down and sharper. The Tur, which the two validation prototypes at Goodwood represent, takes a grand-touring approach: longer, more composed, tuned for cross-continent capability alongside outright pace.

Total production across both variants is capped at 50 units. The car measures 4,819 mm long, 2,024 mm wide, and 1,187 mm tall on a 2,800 mm wheelbase. Braking comes from Zenvo’s own carbon ceramic discs, with bespoke center-lock aluminum wheels — 20-inch front, 21-inch rear — wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber.

Integrated underbody aerodynamics handle downforce without a bolt-on rear wing.

This isn’t the Aurora’s first visit to Goodwood — it made its dynamic debut there in 2025 as an early prototype. But this year is different. The two VP-spec Tur cars arriving this week carry customer-spec exteriors and interiors, meaning what’s on the hill is essentially what buyers will receive.

” Executive Chairman Jens Sverdrup called the Aurora an “equilibrium of extremes” — power and lightness, technical ambition and driver accessibility, filtered through Scandinavian clarity and purpose. With customer deliveries targeted for the second half of 2027, the clock is ticking.

For 50 lucky buyers, Goodwood this week is the clearest preview yet of what’s coming.
