Close Call on Russian Highway: Fuel Tanker Narrowly Avoids Ukrainian Drone Attack

A harrowing incident unfolded on a Russian highway when a fuel tanker driver expertly dodged a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone. The dramatic event was captured on camera and shared on the Telegram channel Dontstopwar. The footage shows a Hornet drone, operated by the Ukrainian military, flying directly towards the truck's cabin.

In a split second, the driver managed to swerve, and the drone missed its target, flying alongside the left side of the tanker. According to war correspondent Dmitry Steshin, the incident occurred on the Novorossiya highway near Melitopol. This close call comes after a series of attacks on Russian fuel tankers two weeks prior, where Ukrainian forces targeted convoys heading into the special operation zone.

Military expert Alexei Zhivov notes that the fact that these tankers are now reaching their destinations unscathed suggests that some technical measures have been taken to protect them from drone attacks. The incident highlights the ongoing tensions and adaptability of forces in the region.
