Chrysler's Pacifica Gets a Salty New Ad Campaign

Chrysler's Pacifica minivan, which has carried a 42-year legacy since the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager debuted in 1983, is now the subject of a new ad campaign with a decidedly adult edge. The "Acronyms" campaign, created with advertising partner GSDM, uses three humorous videos to reinterpret popular social media acronyms like STFU, IDGAF, and FML in family-friendly, minivan-related ways.
" Another 15-second video features a mom proudly declaring she's "Driving Greatness And Function" in her Pacifica, while a third shows a moody teenager who dismisses the minivan in front of friends but privately praises its lounge space and phone charging.
The campaign comes as the Pacifica remains America's best-selling minivan for the fourth straight year, with 110,006 sales in 2025. 2%, while the Honda Odyssey (88,462) and Kia Carnival (71,917) also posted gains. Chrysler's only vehicle can't afford to slip, especially since the restyled 2027 Pacifica still shares its core with the 2017 model.
The ads may be eye-rolling, but they're designed to grab attention in a crowded market.
