Chevy Marks America’s 250th with Subtle Stars and Steel Packages on Corvettes and Trucks

Chevrolet is celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday with a limited-edition lineup called the Stars and Steel Collection, available on the Corvette, Colorado, and Silverado. Rather than splashy red, white, and blue graphics, these models wear understated decals featuring flag motifs in grayscale, along with callouts to the semiquincentennial.

The packages start at $9,995 for the Corvette and range up to $15,135 for the heaviest-duty trucks.

On the Corvette, the treatment includes full-length flag stripes over the roof, a three-stripe flag badge on each door, and unique sill plates. Interior options pair Arctic White paint with Santorini Blue upholstery and red seatbelts, or black paint with Adrenaline Red seats and matching belts.

Only 250 Corvettes will get this package, which adds red brake calipers, red-touched wheels, and a serialized dash plaque. For the trucks—Colorado, Silverado 1500, Silverado HD, and Silverado EV—there’s no production cap. Each gets black wheels, red accents, and model-specific upgrades like a performance air intake, assist steps, or a heavy-duty Brembo brake system.

Prices vary by model: the Silverado EV Stars and Steel starts at $99,945, while the Silverado 1500 adds $14,395 to a base of $52,790. The HD version tacks on $15,135 to a $72,595 starting point, and the Colorado package costs $14,900 above the $42,590 base. For buyers on a tighter budget, Chevy also offers simpler appearance packages starting at $995.

With every Stars and Steel sale, the automaker donates $250 to a veterans’ nonprofit. And yes, despite the name, the Corvette’s body remains fiberglass—Chevy’s fine print clarifies the “steel” refers to dark metallic finishes, not actual metal.
