0 seconds. The run covered 1,729 feet, barely more than a quarter-mile. 2 second longer than it took an Elantra to cover a quarter-mile.
The ZR1X wasn't the quickest accelerator, that honor went to the Lucid, and it tied with the McLaren for fastest braking. But its combined performance up and down put it at the head of the leaderboard. 5-liter V-8 from the ZR1 with an electric motor on the front axle, producing 1,250 horsepower.

Testing came with complications. Chevrolet debated whether to use the Carbon Fiber Aero package, ultimately deciding that improved braking from Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires outweighed any acceleration loss to 150 mph, though to 200 mph, the tradeoff reverses. Launching the Corvette proved finicky, requiring battery warming, tire prep, and a detailed preflight checklist.
Engineer VanderWerp noted, "It's very finicky to get the burnout right. " When executed properly, the ZR1X delivers brutal, ground-hugging acceleration. The base price is $238,185, with the as-tested model at $255,960.
