Brembo’s Most Powerful Passenger-Car Brake Debuts on a Chevy Truck, Not a Supercar

When you think about serious stopping power, your mind might jump to track-ready supercars with carbon-ceramic rotors. But Brembo’s strongest caliper ever built for a passenger vehicle is going somewhere unexpected: an all-electric Chevy truck.
The new Brembo Boldika, a six-piston fixed caliper, produces over 8,500 Nm (6,269 lb-ft) of braking torque. Brembo designed it for “large, heavy and high-horsepower vehicles,” which in practice means full-size trucks and SUVs that have grown heavier and more powerful in recent years.
The Boldika debuts on the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV, specifically the RST Stars and Steel Edition. To handle towing loads and hard stops without adding extra weight, the caliper uses a three-piece hybrid construction: two aluminum halves bolted around a cast-iron central bridge.
It also features Brembo’s Enesys zero-drag technology, which retracts the brake pads fully from the rotors when you lift off the pedal, reducing wear and eliminating residual torque drag.
The caliper fits wheels 20 inches and larger, the Silverado’s massive 24-inch alloys provide plenty of clearance. On this truck, the calipers come in a Torch Red finish against high-gloss black wheels, with both Chevrolet and Brembo branding visible.
Brembo says the Boldika will eventually spread to more electrified and combustion trucks and SUVs from various automakers.
Beyond the brakes, the RST Stars and Steel Edition features American-flag-inspired graphics on the hood and tailgate, available in Black or Summit White. It uses a 4WD powertrain rated at 760 hp (567 kW / 771 PS), with Extended Range and Max Range versions offering up to 410 miles (660 km) and 478 miles (769 km) of range, respectively.
Chevy lists the special edition from $99,945.
