Bovensiepen Unveils 800-HP M5 Gran Turismo

Bavarian coachbuilder Bovensiepen has introduced its second model, the 05 GT, a plug-in hybrid Gran Turismo based on the latest BMW M5. 6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 305 km/h. Production is limited to 200 cars per year, with first deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The exterior design is the work of Frank Stephenson, who has also designed the original BMW X5, the modern MINI Cooper, and the McLaren MP4-12C. The 05 GT features a continuous wraparound design line, laser-cut stainless steel front grille, and a titanium Akrapovič exhaust. The suspension has been upgraded with Eibach springs and a strut tower brace, while the engine software has been recalibrated to unlock the power gain.

Each car comes with a numbered plate and a handcrafted Lavalina leather steering wheel as standard, with a full Lavalina cabin available as a €20,000 option.
