Boca Auto Care Alert: Evenflo Recalls Over 59,000 Child Car Seats - Check Your Model

Boca Auto Care Alert: Evenflo Recalls Over 59,000 Child Car Seats - Check Your Model

If your child rides in an Evenflo car seat, now is the time to check the model number. The company has issued a recall for more than 59,000 units due to a potential safety issue with the harness. The recall affects certain models of the Evenflo SecureMax and Evenflo All-in-One car seats, which may fail to properly restrain a child in the event of a crash.

The problem centers on the chest clip and harness adjuster. Under certain conditions, the harness can loosen unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury. Evenflo says no injuries have been reported yet, but the recall is a precautionary measure. Affected models include the SecureMax (model numbers 34311582, 34311583, and 34311584) and the All-in-One (model numbers 34311585 and 34311586).

These seats were sold at major retailers nationwide between January and March of this year.

Boca Auto Care recommends that all local parents and caregivers immediately check their car seat’s model number, which is printed on a label under the seat or on the side. If your seat is part of the recall, stop using it and contact Evenflo for a free repair kit. You can also visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website for a full list of affected units.

Your child’s safety is our priority, and a quick check now could make all the difference.
