Big Subaru Recall: More Than Half a Million Cars Flagged for Faulty Labels

Big Subaru Recall: More Than Half a Million Cars Flagged for Faulty Labels

Subaru is pulling over 541,000 vehicles back to dealerships across the U.S. The issue isn’t under the hood, it’s on the dashboard. Federal regulators say certain labels on the cars don’t meet safety standards, and the fix is simpler than most recalls.

The recall covers several popular models, including the 2024-2025 Crosstrek and Impreza, along with the 2025 Forester and Legacy. Also affected are the 2024-2025 Solterra and the 2024 WRX. The problem? The vehicle certification labels, the stickers that list tire pressure, weight limits, and VIN info, may have wrong or missing details.

That means a driver could unknowingly overload the car or run tires at the wrong pressure, increasing crash risk.

Subaru says no accidents or injuries have been linked to the issue so far. Dealers will replace the faulty labels for free, and owners can expect notification letters starting in late March 2025. If you drive one of these models, check your VIN at the Subaru recall site or call your local dealer.
