Audi’s 2027 Q7 Costs More - But the Extra Horsepower Makes It a Steal

Audi’s biggest SUV just got a lot pricier, but there’s a silver lining under the hood. The 2027 Q7 starts at $72,195, that’s $8,900 more than last year’s model. 0-liter. For the extra $2,800 you’d have paid to upgrade to the V6 before, you’re now getting that power as standard. Audi says 70% of buyers already chose the V6, so dropping the sluggish 261-hp four-cylinder was a no-brainer.
The SQ7 gets an even bigger surprise. 0-liter twin-turbo V8 leaps from 500 to 591 horsepower, RS-level muscle without the RS price tag. The cost: $99,995, up $4,900 from 2026. Audi kept the $1,295 destination fee unchanged, one of the lowest in the business, even though the Q7 ships from Slovakia.
Standard driver aids now include automatic emergency braking, 360-degree camera, and a nifty trailer-steering assist that rivals full-size trucks. The cabin gets a giant single-panel display combining the digital dash and center screen.
Compare the Q7 to its German rivals: it’s cheaper than the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE, yet offers a third row. Yes, it’s the smallest of the three-row luxury SUVs, but that also means it’s the most affordable. Audi is betting the upcoming Q9 will take on the X7 and GLS directly.
For now, the 2027 Q7 delivers a 5% price bump for a 28% horsepower gain. That’s a trade most buyers will happily make.
