Aston Martin Builds Its Wildest SUV Yet - But Only for Call of Duty

Aston Martin has long been a staple of pop culture thanks to its iconic role in James Bond films. Now, the British automaker is shifting gears with a partnership that might surprise you. " This digital-only vehicle marks a bold departure from anything the brand has ever built in a real factory.

The Dreadnought takes its name from the revolutionary Royal Navy battleship that made every other warship obsolete overnight. But don't expect gun turrets. Instead, the SUV features custom weapons storage tucked inside an Oxford Tan leather interior. It rides on a carbon-fiber chassis wrapped in military-grade armor, with reserve fuel tanks to boot.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer, described it as "unmistakably an Aston Martin, amplified without restraint," noting that even the Chiltern Green paint is a nod to the brand's heritage.

Call of Duty might seem like an odd partner for a luxury automaker, but Aston Martin sees it as a way to reach younger buyers. Stefano Saporetti, the company's brand diversification director, said the goal is to "explore new dimensions of luxury" and connect with a new generation on their own terms.

Players can drive the Dreadnought in DMZ and Warzone modes starting October 23. Still, the partnership feels like a stretch compared to Aston Martin's earlier gaming success with "007: First Light," which featured three of its most famous cars in a Bond-themed adventure. While the Dreadnought is undeniably wild, it remains to be seen whether jumping into Call of Duty will do more for the brand than staying in 007's garage.
