Alfa Romeo Tonale: What the End of Production Means for Local Owners

If you drive a Tonale—or have been eyeing one—here’s what you need to know. Reports from Italian industry sources indicate that production of the Alfa Romeo Tonale will end in November 2027, making its run shorter than many expected. The compact SUV, launched in 2022 as the brand’s first electrified model, got a facelift in late 2025 with updated styling and a nicer interior.
But Stellantis, Alfa’s parent company, is retooling the factory in Pomigliano d’Arco to build affordable electric city cars for Europe, so the Tonale’s days are numbered.
For owners of European and Japanese vehicles here in Boca Raton, this doesn’t mean you need to panic. The Tonale is still a solid car, and parts and service will remain available for years. But if you have a Tonale—or any Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, VW, Volvo, Jaguar, Lexus, Toyota, or Honda—regular maintenance keeps it running smoothly.
Hybrid versions of these cars, including the Tonale, benefit from periodic battery and charging system checks.
At our family-run shop, we know these vehicles inside and out. If you’ve had any recalls or service notices on your car, stop by for a free inspection. We don’t do body work or tinting, but we’ll make sure your engine, brakes, and electronics are in top shape. The Tonale may be winding down, but your car’s reliability doesn’t have to.
